About the course:

Course of Study :

There are 12 branches of specializations in M.Pharm. During the course of study, candidates of M.Pharm Part-I, shall undergo a compulsory course in Modern Pharmaceutical Analysis common to all branches of specialization except in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management and Pharmacy Practice branches. The student studying Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management shall study the subject of Pharmacological basis of Disease Management and those studying Pharmacy Practice shall study Clinical Pharmacy Practice Subject, in the first year M.Pharm course i.e. M.Pharm Part-I . The subject of Pharmacy Ethics shall be studied by candidates belonging to all the 12 branches. There shall be three specialized subjects in each branch of M.Pharm Course in addition to the common subject mentioned earlier.

 

Duration :

The Course of study including submission of dissertation on the topic registered shall be of 24 months (two years) duration from the commencement of academic term.

It shall be of annual system that includes M.Pharm Part-I. extending for twelve months from the commencement of academic term and M.Pharm-II of twelve months duration. At the end of M.Pharm Part-I, there shall be an university examination of M.Pharm Part-I. At the end of M.Pharm Part-II, the candidate shall submit a dissertation on the topic approved by the University



The eligibility creteria for M Pharm:


(M.Pharma) A post graduate course run by NCP and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The requirement for admission is a B.Pharm from any recognised university of India with a minimun of 55% marks (aggregate of 4 years).
For SC/ST Category-I candidates, the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximun marks in the qualifying examinations.

Further, Pharmacy teachers having recognised B.Pharma qualification and with minium of 5 years of teaching experience in an institution approved ay AICTE and PCI will be eligible provided they have scored not less than 50% of the maxinum marks (Aggreate of 4 years).
